Food Basics Hamilton ribbon cutting

Food Basics celebrated the opening of its seventh store in Hamilton, ON at the end of September.

The opening ceremony included a ribbon cutting with Councilor John-Paul Danko.

The store features organic produce, an OLG Lottery kiosk and a selection of Food Basics’ budget Irresistibles and Selection products in more than 36,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

The opening festivities also included the presentation of a cheque to Hamilton’s Neighbor to Neighbor Centre, which provides food and other necessities for needy community residents.

“We have a strong presence here in Hamilton. Opening our newest location serves as our commitment to be the local community grocer and meet the evolving needs of our customers,” says John Manax, Food Basics vice president of operations.
