B.C. based grocery ecommerce software company FoodX is getting $2.6 million to improve its “eGrocery Management Solution" (eGMS) to help retailers manage the rapidly growing online demand for grocery.
The funding comes from the Digital Technology Supercluster, which brings together private and public sector organizations to support digital innovation in Canada.
At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Digital Technology Supercluster partnered with Food-X Technologies to develop foundational features of the eGrocery management system to support Canadian frontline workers.
Food-X eGMS software-based tools help online grocery fulfillment centre employees and e-commerce business managers manage day-to-day online grocery operations at scale. The solution integrates with existing ERP systems, legacy grocery systems, warehouse automation and robotics allowing for a frictionless experience on the back end while increasing accessibility to a contactless, safe food delivery experience for consumers.
