Three grocery industry members were recognized among Canada’s 50 best executives for 2020.
The executives include Pierre St-Laurent, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Sobeys; Lynn Langrock, vice president, human relations and corporate affairs, Bimbo Canada; Genevieve Bich, vice president, human resources, Metro Inc.
St. Laurent was recognized for “recognizing the importance of his whole team.”
Langrock landed on the list for “squashing the spread of coronavirus,” while Bich made the list for “skipping the sugarcoating.”
Another industry-related individual who made the list is Tania I. Little, chief develoopment and partnership officer for Food Banks of Canada, who was on the list "for raising more than $100 million when Canadians needed it most."
The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business Best Executive Awards recognizes exceptional business leaders at Canadian companies. The inaugural list showcases 50 leaders and were on the list, the first annual list, because they “have built better companies in these unprecedented times – and built a better country in the process,” notes The Globe and Mail.
