UK singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, who starred in a recent ad for Heinz Ketchup and famously got a Heinz Ketchup bottle tattoo, has had the gesture reciprocated by the company. Heinz has released a special “Ed Sheeran X Heinz” limited edition bottle of its famous ketchup with a reproduction of one of Sheeran’s tattoos.
A total of 150 bottles have been produced, each signed by Sheeran. Of those, 104 will be given away through a global online prize draw organized by online auction house Paddle (you can enter here). Three more are scheduled to be auctioned at Christie’s on the day this edition of the Grocery Business enews goes out, and the proceeds will go to two charities selected by Sheeran: the East Anglia Children’s Hospital and Rise Against Hunger.
