Kraft Heinz Canada Heinz Asked People To Draw Ketchup

Heinz is inviting Canadians to submit their drawings for a chance to win a customized Heinz ketchup bottle. 

From January 18-31, Canadians can click here or visit drawketchup.ca to submit a drawing. The winners will get a custom box and bottle with their drawing on the label. There will be 250 winners and everyone is welcome to participate, as this is the perfect activity to do while staying safe at home.

In an anonymous social experiment, Heinz asked people all over the world to draw ketchup. None of the participants knew which brand was conducting the experiment, and most drew a ketchup bottle with Heinz written on it from memory.

“Consumers love the unmistakable taste of Heinz, and people around the world give credit to Heinz Ketchup as the original and only option out there,” says Daniel Gotlib, associate director of Brand Building & Innovation at Kraft Heinz Canada.

By asking consumers to simply draw ketchup, they learned that when people think of ketchup, they often visualize Heinz, from the colour, to the name and bottle.

“We know our fans are extremely passionate about Heinz ketchup, and so we are excited to give them the chance to celebrate their love for the brand by offering them an opportunity to bring their drawings to life on personalized bottles,” says Gotlib.
