A speed networking program between grocery retailers and vendors, a business conference and an awards dinner were all part of the 2018 DCI Business Summit held in Toronto June 12.
The annual event brings together independent grocery retailers and vendors, providing both with a business networking opportunity. This year's event attracted more participants, says Todd Newstead, president and CEO of Distribution Canada Inc. (DCI).
"The 2018 DCI Business Summit provided an opportunity for our shareholders (consisting of leading independent grocery retailers), and vendor partners to network, discuss new business opportunities, and increase awareness on areas influencing our industry throughout the day. The 2018 Business Summit realized an increase in registrations of 20+ per cent versus prior year, with increased participation across both our shareholders and vendor partners."
The DCI Star Awards and Gala dinner recognized key partners, retailers and innovative products and initiatives in the food retail industry.
