More than 1,200 frontline healthcare workers at L’Hôpital de Gatineau will receive much-needed personal care packages of made-in-Quebec tissue products courtesy of Kruger Products’ Gatineau Mills, today.
“Our team of 400 employees wants to recognize the healthcare heroes who put their lives on the line to protect us every day,” says Daniel Morneau, general manager at the Gatineau Mills. “And today we’re #RollingItForward with much-needed gifts of Cashmere bathroom tissue, SpongeTowels paper towels and Scotties facial tissue in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Canada.”
The Gatineau Mills has a longstanding tradition of supporting its neighbours in times of need, including: the tornado of 2018, the 2019 flood, and now, the COVID-19 global pandemic. Earlier this year, the Gatineau Mills family raised more than $12,000 for local charities including the Gatineau Social Pediatric Centre, and Moisson Outaouais. The team has supported local food banks by way of tissue product donation, including Bouffe Pontiac and the Banque alimentaire de la Petite-Nation. Kruger Products also reached agreement with the National Capital Commission to turn one of its Gatineau Mills private parking lots into a new public park, set to open in 2021.
In the midst of this challenging job market, the Gatineau Mills continues to recruit and hire talent. Applications for job openings at Kruger Products Gatineau Mills are posted here.
