A Toronto-based retail consulting firm hopes that newly launched store services for independent retailers will help them compete with the big chains.
According to a report by Mario Toneguzzi in Retail Insider, the services launched by Execulytics Consulting include fresh operational support and a suite of retail analytics.
The objective, says Mike Mauti, senior vice president of client services and a managing partner of Execulytics, is to give smaller independent retailers access to the tools large chains have been using for years.
An industry veteran, Mauti says the large chains benefit from tools that help them improve fresh food operations and crunch the numbers on pricing, assortment and labour.
Execulytics is offering three solutions: Labourlytics, Assort-alytics and Price-Ulytics. As the names suggest, they offer independents a way to manage labour expenses, scheduling and operations, formulate customer-centric assortments and analyze and optimize pricing, respectively.
Also, Execulytics’ “Specialist-for-Hire” option offers independents the deep expertise chains get from their teams of departmental experts to help them train staff, maintain standards and merchandise effectively.
