Westbank Corp. has announced that London Drugs and grocer Fresh St. Market will open at the base of Westbank’s new Vancouver House development next summer. The location is in Vancouver’s “Beach District,” a new area designation created by Westbank as part of the Vancouver House project.

Both retailers will be located at the base of the Vancouver House tower at Pacific and Howe, “offering downtown residents and the broader community with a host of options; the best quality brands and experts, in one-stop convenience,” Vancouver House said in a statement.

The London Drugs location will include a multi-purpose tech area for order pickup, Canada Post parcel pickup and online ordering. There will also be a full-service pharmacy with health care assistance, wellness clinics and a new-design cosmetics and beauty department.

This will be the first Vancouver location for Fresh St. Market, joining stores in the North Shore and Fraser Valley. Fresh Market offers authentic, organic and exclusively sourced food.

The fourth tallest building in Vancouver, Vancouver House will include high and low-rise structures. Set for completion in mid-2019, the 59-storey building will have 375 residences, 105 market rental homes, 70,000 sq. ft. of creative space and 80,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
