Longos

Longo Brothers Fruit Markets is recognizing the efforts of its frontline store employees by introducing a temporary $2 per hour pay increase.

All assistant store managers, department managers, team leads and supervisors in operating roles will also receive an incremental weekly bonus.

Anthony Longo, president and CEO, says the decision comes as a result of the hard work and dedication shown every day by Longo’s Team Members, especially now during the holiday season and on the heels of a province-wide lockdown.

The program is set to launch December 28, 2020 and will be offered for 28 days. This program is in addition to a number of other measures Longo’s has taken to support its team, including ensuring they have time with their families by adjusting store hours, such as closing on Boxing Day, offering additional discounts on groceries and paying a portion of the Team Member bonus early.

“Our business is built on the principle of treating people like family.  We take care of our team, so they can take care of our Guests.  This feels more important now than ever before as we all navigate these challenging times together,” says Longo.
