Metro Inc. has announced a renewed agreement with customer data specialist dunnhumby. Based in the U.S., dunnhumby will be Metro’s customer data, loyalty and software partner across Metro’s more than 600 grocery stores.
“This new agreement is the culmination of a 10-year long partnership between the two companies that has helped deliver more relevant experiences for Metro’s millions of customers,” dunnhumby said in making the announcement.
The two companies began working together in 2009 to leverage personalization to improve its customer loyalty and targeted marketing.
Alain Tadros, Metro vice president, marketing, said that Metro has gained a better understanding of shopper needs thanks to dunnhumby’s customer data science platform. The platform combines technology, software and consulting.
dunnhumby works with other major brands like Tesco, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble and L’Oréal.
