Metro’s automated fresh distribution centre located in Etobicoke, Ont. has now begun to take shape. According to Mario Duran, director of logistics and engineering at Metro Inc., Witron automation mobilization is now underway (fully automated order-picking machinery), and signage has been mounted on the building’s exterior. “These are exciting times at Metro.
