Shelley Martin, CEO of Nestle Canada, will retire at the end of July after 28 years with the company.
In conversation with strategy magazine, Martin looked back on some highlights of her career. These include restoring double-digit growth to key brands, pop-up events that were wildly successful with minimal social media promotion and the rapid launch of new brands coming to Canada from the US.
Challenges? The increasing cost of doing business, consumer value expectations, and the pressure always-tight margins exert on investment in new products, communications and market research.
