The Grocery Foundation’s Night to Nurture will be held on January 29, 2022, and unlike last year’s event, the upcoming gala will be a hybrid one. It will include live VIP viewing parties at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre with a concurrent live event in Vancouver (other locations will be announced), as well as virtual viewing parties to host a table and virtual access to watch the entertainment from attendees’ homes.
The entertainment will feature illusionist Darcy Oake, musicians Tim Hicks & Friends, and comedian Gerry Dee.
Shaun McKenna, The Grocery Foundation’s executive director says the event, billed Now For Something Completely Different, will give access to as large an audience as possible in the current environment, allowing those who are comfortable enough to get together in person and others to enjoy the event from the comfort of their homes.
“It’s also the first time we’re featuring a variety show for the entertainment. So we’re changing the format, but our goal is still the same: to support Canadian children in youth because the pandemic has been hard on them.”
