Urban Grocer plans to open a flagship location in Victoria, B.C.

The 10,000 sq ft space is a former post office building (and previous to that a Safeway store 58 years ago) currently being renovated with plans to open July 1.

The grocer is looking at hiring 35 to 40 staff.

In an online story from Victoria News, general manager Shaw Fahr says it plans to be a “locally-minded community grocer with local produce and a deli with in-house chef creations.”
