Save-On-Foods has donated $1,000 worth of groceries and $600 worth of gift cards to Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island’s Jeneece Place, a home where children and their families stay while receiving medical care in Victoria, B.C.
Because of health and safety concerns during the pandemic, the groceries were delivered in the open air. This is the sixth year that Save-On-Foods’ stores in Victoria has supported the home with groceries.
“We are thrilled to fill the pantry at Jeneece Place for the sixth straight year,” says Roger Junker, Save-On-Foods Pandora store manager. “Our goal is to try and help make life easier for families staying at Jeneece Place. Those families have enough to deal with, especially with the added stress of a worldwide pandemic. Our eight Save-On-Foods stores in Greater Victoria really enjoy making this happen for such a great cause during the holiday season.”
