T&T Supermarkets is closing its Cherry Street location in downtown Toronto, but to continue to serve its customers in the area, the grocer plans to offer new oline shopping services starting in 2020.
"I want to sincerely thank our Cherry Street customers and colleagues for their loyal patronage and support over the past 12 years,” says Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarkets. “We are truly saddened to leave this location, but are committed to serving our downtown customers despite the closure. That’s why I’m happy to announce this new and exciting online shopping experience and look forward to sharing more details with you in the new year.”
The closure, which will occur January 30, 2020, is a result of development plans for the Toronto Port Lands neighbourhood. T&T says it is actively looking for another downtown location to serve the area.
Launched in 1983 in Vancouver, T&T Supermarkets operates 27 stores in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
