Walmart has introduced a 35-second online purchase return service, the store's latest attempt to gain an edge on its rival Amazon.com, according to an article on Fortune.com.

Called Mobile Express Returns, the new program will handle items sold and shipped by Walmart.com and is set to launch in November. Customers will be able to use Walmart's app to initiate the return process before returning the item to any of Walmart's stores, where they will scan a barcode using a smartphone and return items at a dedicated express late at the customer service desk.
