Walmart Canada has launched a new feature for grocery pickup. Mobile Check-in allows customers to notify store staff that they are going to arrive to pick up their grocery order. The notification can be sent with ‘a single tap,” the company says.
Walmart Canada is also expanding its Grocery Pickup service to 22 new locations across Canada, including Regina, Halifax, Moncton, Victoria and Quebec City. These same locations will also launch Mobile Check-in.
The company says new Pickup Towers will be tested early next year in Oakville and Mississauga, Ontario. The towers dispense a customer’s online general merchandise order, offering a new method for customer pickup.
