Walmart Canada has raised more than $6.6 million for 14 children’s hospitals across the country from its annual fundraising campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Canada.
Walmart associates collected donations at checkouts across the country from May 14 to June 7. Money was also raised through hosted bake sales, auctions and fun activities.
The company matched customer donations with a corporate grant of $820,000.
“We are very proud of the results of this year's campaign and our associates' and customers' unwavering commitment to children's health as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times," says Haio Barbeito, president and CEO, Walmart Canada.
