The Salvation Army The Salvation Army Partners with Walmart Cana

Walmart Canada is teaming up with The Salvation Army for the 12th year to support Canadians in need during the holidays.

Walmart will host the "Fill the Kettle Day" on Saturday, December 18 at its stores nationwide. As part of the support, Walmart will match donations made by individuals to a maximum of $100,000. The chain says it already has donated more than $50,000 to the CTV Toy Mountain to help The Salvation Army purchase new toys for children in need.

"We are very proud to partner with The Salvation Army, one of Canada's largest providers of social assistance, to help make Christmas a reality for Canadians from coast-to-coast," says Rob Nicol, vice president, corporate affairs at Walmart Canada. "In these challenging times, we ask Canadians to give generously. Together we can help The Salvation Army reach its fundraising goal this holiday season and help Canadians live better."
