Walmart has filed a patent for an online grocery shopping service that works along the lines of the dating app Tinder.
Business Insider says that the app would let shoppers accept or reject produce picked for them by Walmart employees, just as Tinder users accept or reject proposed partners.
As the employees pack orders placed online, they could use the app to send images of produce items to shoppers for approval. Shoppers could accept or reject items based on appearance.
One of the main complaints about online grocery shopping is that shoppers don’t currently get to select produce themselves and can wind up receiving bruised or discolored items.
