On the heels of a less-than-stellar U.S. debut, Lidl is targeting the U.S. competition with an aggressive new ad campaign. The German grocery giant has scaled back its plans for the U.S. market, scrapping, downsizing, suspending or abandoning some of its planned store locations. The CEO even told a German magazine that the move into the U.S. was “a single mistake.”
