Organic Garage raising funds for vulnerable communities with the support of its customers. To date, with help from its customers the organic grocery chain has donated more than $5,000 to Feed Ontario.
Like other grocers, Organic Garage has implemented measures to ensure the safety of customers and staff and plans to launch curbside pickup next week (April 13), says Randee Glassman, director of marketing.
Organic Garage will continue its efforts to raise funds to support vulnerable communities during the pandemic, says Glassan and the grocer is urging customers to donate online.
“In response to COVID-19, food banks are continuing to adapt their services to teh changing needs of the most vulnerable members of our communities, including providing additional food to clients. However, they are depleting resources much quicker than they are receiving them and need your help. Every $1 dollar you give can provide three meals to someone struggling with access to food during this emergency,” adds Glassman.
