P.E.I farms hit all time high cash receipts


According to Statistics Canada, cash receipts have been increasing over the past five years and jumped 9.3 per cent from 2019.

Ron Maynard, president of the P.E.I Federation of Agriculture, says “prices were stronger in the potato market, there was a lower level of inventory across the country and across North America.”

Total net farm income is down, however, at about $30 million across the province.
