Kruger Product’s annual Cashmere Collection fashion initiative that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer is taking on a new twist this year with a masquerade-style couture.

Masks, the fashion accessory of the year, will take centre stage at a first-of-its-kind virtual performance this September along with Cashmere BT (Bathroom Tissue) Couture ballgowns, as celebrity Curator Joe Zee presents 15 leading Canadian fashion designers and their original visions of a future without Breast Cancer at the 17th annual event.

“The Cashmere Collection forms the annual kick-off to October Breast Cancer Month in Canada, and serves as an important fund-and awareness-raiser for the cause,” explains Susan Irving, chief marketing officer at Kruger Products. “A remarkable display of fashion with compassion, the collection shines much-needed light on Canada’s generous and talented fashion designers who are dedicated to finding a cure for the deadly disease,” she says.

Similar to its gowns, the masks range from those with beaks and feathers, to Venetian-era carnival masks. The mask theme also taps into the current trend of people wearing personalized masks that fit their interests or tastes.
