Mathieu Poirier will be joining Retail Council of Canada as vice president, federal government relations. Poirier formerly held the position of senior director, policy and government relations at the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Association (CME). Before joining CME, Poirier worked for several trade associations, as well as in the Office for Federal Leader of the Opposition and interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, and, subsequently for the Office of Member of Parliament Bill Graham. Poirier is bilingual and will be based in Retail Council of Canada’s Ottawa.
