Simon Romano has expanded his portfolio to include produce procurement and quality assurance, previously under Oleen Smethurst, in addition to his meat, seafood, and deli categories.
Romano’s produce procurement leadership team has expanded from two to three roles. These include Ryan Goad, senior director, produce procurement, Justin Garibaldi who has transitioned from his leadership role in Loblaw International to senior director, produce procurement, and Sebastian Kmiecik who has been promoted from his procurement director- melons/bananas/tropical role to senior director, produce procurement.
The newly created position of vice president Loblaw International has been filled by Oleen Smethurst, whose prior role was vice president procurement.
