Agropur Cooperative has announced the appointment of Émile Cordeau as CEO, effective October 15, 2019.
Agropur says it decided to accelerate its succession plan “in view of other opportunities for Mr. Cordeau.” In this context, Robert Coallier has announced he will retire from the Cooperative on December 31, 2019 to allow time for a smooth handover and to support Cordeau during the transition period.
Since joining Agropur in 2013, Cordeau has occupied a series of positions, including most recently senior vice president and chief financial officer, playing a key role in Agropur’s development. He previously served as vice president for the Foodservice and Proximity Retail group and was formerly in charge of the Fine Cheese Business Unit.
Before joining Agropur, Cordeau worked at Dollarama where he participated in its evolution from a privately held family-owned company to a major public company. He also has diversified experience in finance and mergers & acquisitions with companies such as Transcontinental and RBC Capital Markets.
