Sharon Alford of Swan River, Man., has been elected president and chair of the board of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL).
Alford is the first woman to serve in this position in FCL’s 91-year history. She was elected Aug. 12 after serving as interim president and chair since July of last year. She has been a member of the board for six years.
Brad Schultz stepped down earlier this summer to assume the role of vice president of finance at the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation. He remains on FCL’s board as a representative of FCL’s District 9.
