Leadership changes at McCain Foods

McCain Foods has announced leadership changes. Danielle Barran expands her role as president of McCain Foods Canada to lead the North America Potato Division. Matt Kohler has joined the company in a newly created role of managing director, Canada Retail, responsible for marketing and sales across the retail business. Mike Barry, vice president of retail sales, is retiring, effective December 31, 2020.

Prior to joining McCain as president in 2018, Barran worked at The J.M. Smucker company for 16 years where she held progressively senior roles, with her most recent job being vice president of marketing – Pet, based in San Francisco, CA.

Kohler has more than 20 years of marketing and general management experience and most recently was the vice president of marketing (Canada) at the Clorox Company of Canada.

Barry joined McCain in 1984 and worked in a variety of sales roles across the country before taking on his current role, leading the Canadian retail sales team, beginning in 2016.

As part of the leadership changes at the company, Bryan McCourt, who has overseen the Canadian marketing team for three years, will take on the role of vice president, food services sales, national accounts, Canada.
