David Singer has been named president of Thomas, Large and Singer Inc. (TLS), effective March 1, 2020. He succeeds current president Peter Singer, who has taken on the role of chairman of the company.
In the firm's 108 year history, Singer is the fifth person to hold the position of president and the fourth member of the Singer family to take on the role. He started with TLS seven years ago and prior to that he built his experience in the CPG sector with Pepsi Bottling Group, Acosta, Kimberly-Clark and Procter & Gamble.
Peter Singer, who joined TLS in 1977, became president in 1986 and CEO in 1999. He has been active in the industry, serving as a board member for organizations such as GS1 Canada and the Canadian Food Brokers Association.
To assist David Singer in his new role, Anthony Carter has been promoted to chief client officer.
Prior to working with TLS, Carter was chief financial officer of Browne Group of Companies.
