Former PepsiCo Canada executive Jason McDonell has been named chief marketing officer at Advance Auto Parts.
McDonell has been a very prominent personality in Canada’s grocery sector for many years. He comes to Advance from PepsiCo, where he served for more than 20 years, most recently as Canada president and general manager. One of his most notable achievements at PepsiCo was his leadership of the company’s “Crash the Super Bowl” digital crowdsourcing campaign – a unique and successful effort that evolved into a 10-year global program.
Over his long career in Canada’s grocery sector, McDonell also became widely recognized for his work on the Golden Pencil Committee and with Food & Consumer Products of Canada.
