Lululemon Athletica Inc., the Vancouver-based apparel retailer, has named Loblaw veteran, Calvin McDonald CEO, effective August 20, 2018. McDonald most recently led best-in-class cosmetic retailer Sephora for five years and was previously CEO of Sears Canada. McDonald’s retail leadership career included 17-years at Loblaw Cos. Ltd.
“Calvin McDonald has an impressive track record leading organizations through periods of significant growth and innovation,” said Glenn Murphy, chairman of Lululemon and himself a veteran of the Loblaw organization. “He is the ideal match for the Lululemon brand and culture.”
