Pierre St-Laurent has been promoted to chief operating officer at Empire Company Limited and Sobeys Inc.
St-Laurent has been with Sobeys for 31 years and most recently was executive vice president and COO for the full service business. He will now oversee Empire’s full service, discount and e-commerce businesses.
The discount and e-commerce businesses will continue to be managed by Mike Venton, general manager, discount, and Sarah Joyce, senior vice president e-commerce, respectively. Both Venton and Joyce will now report to St-Laurent.
