Ken Clark, general manager strategic initiatives fresh at Save-On-Foods, has retired. Clark worked in the meat industry for over 50 years and began his Save-On-Foods career in the meat department. In 2009, he was promoted to general manager of the fresh departments, and in 2014 he joined the corporate brands team as general manager. In 2018, Clark returned to the meat department as general manager, and most recently, he worked at the banner’s Langley office as general manager of strategic initiatives—fresh.

“Known for his dedication and high energy, Ken leads his team with humility and allows them to grow in their careers. Speaking of teams, he is also known to support any sports franchises based in Boston. Ken is well-respected in the meat industry and inspires people around him with his positive and go-getter attitude. He was a key member in building upselling programs for the meat division to change the culture of the division from a production focus to a customer focus. Ken also sits on the 4-H Canada Board of Directors.

“Throughout the years, Ken has formed many lasting friendships throughout the industry, in Save-On-Foods, and with peers in the Pattison Food Group. Ken is especially proud of his children’s success in the company. During his retirement, Ken looks forward to spending more time with his wife Leslie, his three kids Jennifer, Jason, and Jonathan, and his six granddaughters: Jada, Mia, Molly, Zoe, Delaney, and Emerson.

“Please join me in congratulating Ken on his incredible career and achievements and wishing him the best in this next chapter,” said Mike Olson, vice president of business development at Overwaitea Food Group.
