Senior leader Cheryl Smith to retire from Parmalat Canada

After 20 years with Parmalat Canada, respected industry leader Cheryl Smith is retiring from the company as of June 7, 2019.

Beginning her career with Parmalat Canada 1999, Cheryl was promoted to Executive Team Member in 2006, Executive Vice President in 2009, and then in 2016, was appointed Divisional General Manager. During her tenure with the company, she worked across all brands and businesses in marketing and sales and her outstanding commitment to brand championship and innovation led to the achievement of number one selling items in all key dairy categories.  Prior to joining Parmalat Canada, Cheryl held management positions at both Unilever and Rogers Communications.

A valued contributor to many industry organizations, Cheryl is currently Chair of the Ontario Dairy Council, board member of the Grocery Foundation, on the Board of Governors of Food & Consumer Products Canada and a member of the Grocery Business Senior Leadership Advisory Council.  Formerly, she was a member of the Kids Help Phone Board, Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers Associate Members’ Council and in 2012, Cheryl was named one of Canada’s Top 100 most powerful women.
