Peru becomes world’s top grape exporter


Peruvian grape exports reached $1.26 billion in 2021, registering an increase of 22 per cent when compared to the previous year and positioning itself as the world’s leading exporter of fresh grapes, according to Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), as reported by Produce Blue Book.

Last year Peru surpassed Chile ($928 million), as the world’s main grape supplier, followed by the U.S. ($782 million) and China ($757 million). Peruvian grapes shipped to 46 countries in 2021.
