Go Produce, an Ontario local produce delivery company based in Kingsville, near Windsor, plans to open a micro grocery store housed in a converted shipping container.
Go Produce already runs an online store but says it wants to give customers the chance to check out produce in person before they buy. The 155 sq ft store will operate as a pop-up, running from May to October.
The company selected three possible locations in Windsor based on which neighbourhoods lacked a grocery store. At press time the exact location, which was chosen by customers in an online vote, was to be announced in early May.
