IGA opened a new Montreal store in September. What makes this store unique is that it is located in an area previously known as a food desert, located more than 1.6 km away from a grocery store with fresh food. The new location is part of a reimagined urban concept IGA store. The site was formerly a bank built in 1927 and has been designed to reflect the building’s heritage character.
