Amazon has reported that despite a technical glitch that kept users from logging on to Amazon.com as Prime Day got underway Monday afternoon, sales were ‘bigger than ever’ once the glitch was resolved. One research firm predicted the total for the 36-hour sales bonanza would reach at least $3.4 B globally, which would set a new record. A Forrester Research analyst interviewed by CNBC said that the technical slipup won’t be enough to keep the sales figures from being huge.
