Women in Food Industry Management (WFIM), held its first immersive event since the pandemic, Field to Fork, held July 27 at Lennox Farm in Melancthon, near Shelbourne, Ont.
The event, hosted by the multi-generational-run Lennox Farm family, provided attendees with the opportunity to see, taste and learn about a family-run food business using regenerative agricultural practices.
“The event provided an intimate private setting for WFIM members and guests to share experiences, network, and learn more about our interconnected community,” says Brenda Seto, one of the WFIM volunteer organizers.
Those who attended picked their own vegetables to take home and were served a four-course meal prepared by Chef Christine Walker and partner Andre of Chefs in the Hills.
WFIM’s next event is on September 24, the Golf Nine & Dine at Glen Abbey golf club in Oakville, Ont.
