Farm Boy to open 19th GTA store in Oshawa

Farm Boy is set to open its 48th store in Ontario on March 14.

The newest location in Oshawa’s northeast end marks the 19th Farm Boy store in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the third in the Durham Region, joining existing stores in Pickering and Whitby.

“We are delighted to expand our presence in the GTA and bring the Farm Boy experience to the vibrant community of Oshawa. This new location reflects our commitment to offering top-quality products at great value and exceptional customer service while fostering a deep connection with local communities,” said Shawn Linton, president and general manager of Farm Boy.

Situated at 1280 Clearbrook Dr., at the intersection of Wilson Rd. N. and Taunton Rd. E., the Oshawa store will feature fresh produce, Canadian meats, local dairy and a diverse range of Farm Boy private-label products. The store will offer gluten-free, plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian options and hormone-free, organic beef, chicken and pork. It will also have hot and salad bar selections, complemented by local, international and Canadian cheeses.

The grocery store, owned by Empire Co. Ltd., is planning two more openings this year, one in Oshawa, which will open in spring 2024, and the other in Port Credit, which will open in summer 2024.
