Maple Leaf Foods has made two executive leadership changes as part of a realignment of the business.

Adam Grogan has been named chief operating officer and Casey Richards is appointed to a newly created role of president of Maple Leaf Foods USA.

Grogan, who previously served as president of Alternative Proteins and president of Greenleaf Foods, has been with Maple Leaf Foods for more than 25 years in a range of roles.

Richards, who was president and chief growth officer at Maple Leaf Foods, has more than 20 years of global marketing and general management experience, including the last six years with Maple Leaf Foods.

As part of the executive appointment announcements, Maple Leaf Foods unveiled its updated Blueprint, which outlines the company’s core strategies for growth. The new plan includes bringing its meat and plant protein businesses together under a single umbrella to help support growth potential in key markets.

“As an integrated protein company, we have tremendous opportunities ahead of us. Together we are a powerhouse, and we will leverage our combined strength to build our brands in Canadian, U.S. and international markets,” says Curtis Frank, Maple Leaf Foods CEO.
