Tom Shurrie, president and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG), has retired but will stay on until the end of 2024 as an advisor to support the transition to new leadership.
Shurrie has been with CFIG since 2017 and served as senior vice president and chief operating officer before being named to his current position in 2018. Prior to his roles at the industry association level, he worked in senior sales leadership roles at Conagra, Parmalat (now Lactalis) and also worked in the retail sector at Longo’s earlier in his career.
