Finica Food Specialities hosted a special event in Ottawa to promote foods of Ukraine in Canada.

The event, “Art of Ukrainian Food” was held at the Rideau Club in Ottawa, in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, and brought together senior government leaders, ambassadors, industry members and others who support the promotion of Ukrainian food and beverage in Canada.

Joe Dal Ferro, president of Finica Food Specialties and chair of the International Cheese Council of Canada (ICCC) said of the event, “we at Finica are very interested in doing our small part to try to help support Ukraine’s agricultural sector, as are our customers. In times like these, it has never been more important to reach out to others and come together. And let’s agree, if there’s one thing everyone can bond over, its food that warms our stomachs and hearts.”

Other parliamentary members on hand at the event included Yvan Baker, MP for Etobicoke Centre, James Bezan, MP for Selkirk-Interlake-Eastman, Simon-Pierre Savard-Tremblay, MP for Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot, and Richard Cannings, MP for South Okanagan-West Kootenay. Also in attendance was Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, and Yuliya Kovaliv, Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada.
