Located at 566 Gladstone Avenue in Ottawa’s Centretown area, MargoFresh opened two months ago. The shop is owned by Margo Njaim whose family founded the Mid-East Food Centre specialty shop in Ottawa in 1971.
MargoFresh has already grown a loyal following of regular shoppers thanks to its made in-house fresh salads, prepared meals and baked goods. The “bright and clean little grocery store is a great addition to the neighbourhood” according to Yelp reviewer, Jennifer V-P, and reviewer Tara Claude says: “I absolutely loved everything I left with & will be a regular customer!!”
Grocery Business visited the independent grocery store stocked with international and specialty food items and products from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Mediterranean, as well as South and North American items, Halal meats, fresh produce and other grocery staples. MargoFresh is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm Monday to Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
